🤢 Nauseous
Share
When your stomach is churning and the thought of food makes you feel worse. The key is bland, starchy, easy-to-digest foods with gentle anti-nausea ingredients like ginger.
- Plain white rice – The ultimate safe food. Cook it soft. Eat it plain or with a tiny splash of soy sauce.
- Ginger tea – Fresh ginger slices steeped in hot water with a little honey. Sip slowly.
- Banana – Soft, sweet, and requires no preparation. Eat it slowly.
- Dry crackers or oatcakes – Nibble one at a time. Nothing flavoured, nothing greasy.
- Congee (rice porridge) – Rice cooked in plenty of water until it breaks down into a soft, warm, easily digestible porridge. Add a little ginger if you can face it.
- Miso broth – Just miso paste and hot water. Sip from a mug. The saltiness can help settle your stomach.
