Peanut Butter & Jam Oat Bars

These no-bake bars are sweet, satisfying, and cost about 15p each. Oats, peanut butter, a little jam, and a spoonful of honey or golden syrup. They set in the fridge and are perfect for a cheap snack or breakfast on the go.

Ingredients (Makes 8 bars):
- 150g rolled oats (15p)
- 3 tbsp peanut butter (20p)
- 2 tbsp jam (any flavour) (10p)
- 2 tbsp honey or golden syrup (15p)
- A pinch of salt
Method:
- Mix everything together in a bowl until well combined. If it's too dry, add a tiny splash of water.
- Press firmly into a lined tin. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Slice into bars. Keep in the fridge.
Why it's gut-friendly: Oats provide beta-glucan for gut health. Peanut butter adds protein and healthy fats. Jam provides a little sweetness and fruit.
