Smooth Banana & Oat Porridge

This is porridge, but smoother. The banana is mashed into the oats as they cook, disappearing completely and leaving only a gentle sweetness and a silkier texture. No lumps, no chewy bits. Just a warm, creamy bowl of beige.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 50g rolled oats
- 1 ripe banana, mashed until completely smooth
- 250ml milk of choice
- A tiny pinch of salt
Method:
- Put the oats, mashed banana, milk, and salt in a saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer. Cook, stirring frequently, for 5–7 minutes until thick and creamy.
- For extra smoothness, blend briefly with a stick blender. Serve immediately.
Sensory profile: Smooth, creamy, and uniform. Mildly sweet. No lumps, no chewy oat texture if blended.
