Mango Lassi Overnight Oats

Inspired by the classic Indian drink, this uses kefir or yoghurt, ripe mango, and a pinch of cardamom. It’s thick, creamy, and tastes like a tropical smoothie.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 50g rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 100ml plain kefir or Greek yoghurt
  • 50ml milk
  • 100g ripe mango, diced (fresh or frozen)
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Method:

  1. Mix everything together. If using frozen mango, it will defrost overnight.
  2. Refrigerate overnight. Stir before eating.

Why it’s gut-friendly: Kefir or yoghurt provides probiotics. Mango is rich in vitamin C and fibre. Cardamom aids digestion. Oats and chia are prebiotic.
