Fig & Honey Overnight Oats

Dried figs are like nature’s jam—sweet, sticky, and packed with fibre. They soften overnight in the oats, becoming almost jammy. A drizzle of honey and some crushed pistachios on top make this feel like something from a Mediterranean breakfast table.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 50g rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3–4 dried figs, chopped
  • 150ml milk of choice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp chopped pistachios

Method:

  1. Mix the oats, chia seeds, figs, milk, and honey. Stir well.
  2. Refrigerate overnight. Top with pistachios before eating.

Why it’s gut-friendly: Figs are a prebiotic powerhouse. Pistachios provide healthy fats and fibre. Oats and chia add even more prebiotic goodness.
