Cheese & Apple Skewers (Deconstructed)

Cubes of mild cheddar and chunks of crisp apple, threaded onto a single cocktail stick. No plate needed. Just hold the stick and eat. The combination of sweet, sharp apple and savoury cheese is a classic for a reason. Pre-cut the apple into a small container and keep it in your room stash.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • ½ apple, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 30g mild cheddar, cut into similar chunks
  • 2–3 cocktail sticks

Method:

  1. Thread alternating pieces of apple and cheese onto the cocktail sticks.
  2. Eat directly from the sticks.

Why it's gut-friendly: Apples are rich in pectin, a prebiotic fibre. Cheddar is a fermented dairy product, providing a small probiotic boost. A balanced, portable snack.
