Miso & Sesame Edamame

This is a warm, savoury snack that takes three minutes. Frozen edamame, tossed in a miso-sesame dressing. It's salty, satisfying, and packed with plant protein.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 100g frozen edamame (shelled)
  • 1 tsp white miso paste
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • A pinch of chilli flakes (optional)

Method:

  1. Cook the edamame according to packet instructions. Drain.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with a splash of hot water to loosen it.
  3. Toss the warm edamame with the miso, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and chilli flakes if using.
  4. Eat warm.

Why it's gut-friendly: Edamame are young soybeans, rich in plant protein and fibre. Miso is fermented, providing probiotics. A satisfying, gut-friendly snack.
