Apple Slices with Cinnamon Almond Butter
Share
This is not a recipe. This is an assembly job. But it's the snack I reach for most often when I want something that feels like a treat but is basically just fruit and nut butter. The cinnamon makes it feel intentional.
Why it's gut-friendly: Apples are rich in pectin, a prebiotic fibre that feeds good gut bacteria. Almond butter provides healthy fats and protein. Cinnamon helps stabilise blood sugar.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 1 crisp apple (Pink Lady or Braeburn work well)
- 1-2 tbsp almond butter
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
Method:
- Slice the apple into wedges.
- Spread each wedge with a little almond butter.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Eat immediately.
