Warm Pear & Ginger Infusion

Warm Pear & Ginger Infusion

This is the drink for when you want something warm and slightly sweet without caffeine. A ripe pear, simmered with ginger, then mashed into hot water. It's gentle, soothing, and tastes like autumn in a mug.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 1 ripe pear, cored and roughly chopped
  • 3 slices of fresh ginger
  • 300ml water
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Method:

  1. Put the pear, ginger, and water in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes until the pear is very soft.
  3. Mash the pear into the water with a fork. Strain through a sieve if you want a clear drink, or leave it rustic.
  4. Stir in honey if using. Sip warm.

Why it's gut-friendly: Pears are rich in soluble fibre. Ginger is a digestive aid. A gentle, caffeine-free warm drink.
