Warm Almond Milk with Cinnamon & Honey

This is the drink I make when I want something warm and milky but don't want caffeine. It's just almond milk, warmed gently with cinnamon and honey. It tastes like the milk at the bottom of a bowl of cereal. Deeply comforting.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 250ml unsweetened almond milk
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
- Tiny pinch of salt
Method:
- Place all ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Heat gently over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally, until steaming.
- Pour into a mug and sip slowly.
Why it's gut-friendly: Almond milk is dairy-free and gentle on the stomach. Cinnamon helps stabilise blood sugar. It's a simple, soothing drink.
