Rose & Cardamom Warm Milk
Share
This is the most elegant thing you can make in a microwave. Warm milk infused with cardamom and a tiny hint of rosewater. It's floral, soothing, and feels like something from a Persian tea house. Perfect for winding down before bed.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 250ml milk of choice
- 2 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
- A drop of rosewater (optional, but lovely)
- 1 tsp honey
Method:
- Gently heat the milk with the cardamom pods until steaming. Don't boil.
- Let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain out the cardamom. Stir in the honey and rosewater.
- Pour into a mug. Sip slowly.
Why it's gut-friendly: Cardamom is a carminative, aiding digestion and reducing bloating. Rosewater is traditionally used for digestive comfort. Warm milk is soothing.
