Rooibos & Vanilla Bedtime Latte

Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free and has a gentle, slightly sweet flavour. Combined with warm milk and vanilla, it becomes the perfect bedtime drink. It won't keep you up. It won't upset your stomach. It will just... help.

Why it's gut-friendly: Rooibos is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. It's naturally caffeine-free, so it won't stimulate the nervous system or irritate the gut.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 1 rooibos tea bag
  • 100ml hot water
  • 150ml milk of choice
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Method:

  1. Steep the rooibos tea bag in the hot water for 5-7 minutes. Remove the tea bag.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the milk in a small saucepan until steaming. Whisk vigorously to create a bit of foam.
  3. Stir the vanilla and honey if using into the rooibos tea.
  4. Pour the warm milk over the tea.
  5. Sip slowly before bed.
