Iced Mint & Cucumber Water

Sometimes you don't need a "drink." You just need water. But fancy water. This is water with cucumber slices and fresh mint. It's incredibly refreshing, properly hydrating, and takes about thirty seconds. Keep a jug in the fridge and you'll actually want to drink water.

Ingredients (Serves 1, or make a jug):

  • ¼ cucumber, sliced
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes
  • Cold water

Method:

  1. Put the cucumber slices and mint leaves in a glass or jug. Muddle gently with the back of a spoon to release the flavours.
  2. Add ice cubes. Top with cold water.
  3. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes for the flavours to infuse.
  4. Drink throughout the day.

Why it's gut-friendly: Cucumber is hydrating and contains anti-inflammatory compounds. Mint soothes the digestive tract. Staying hydrated is essential for gut health.
