Share
Matcha is powdered green tea. It's packed with antioxidants and gives a gentle, sustained energy without the jitters. This iced version is creamy, refreshing, and feels like a coffee shop drink without the £4 price tag.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 2 tbsp warm water
- 200ml oat milk
- 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
- Ice cubes
Method:
- Sift the matcha powder into a mug to remove lumps.
- Add the warm water and whisk vigorously with a fork or matcha whisk until smooth and frothy.
- Fill a glass with ice. Pour over the oat milk and maple syrup.
- Pour the matcha mixture over the top. Stir gently to combine.
Why it's gut-friendly: Matcha is rich in polyphenols and L-theanine, which promotes calm focus. Oat milk adds beta-glucan fibre. A gentle, sustained energy boost.
