Iced Matcha Latte (Gut-Friendly Version)

Iced Matcha Latte (Gut-Friendly Version)

Matcha is powdered green tea. It's packed with antioxidants and gives a gentle, sustained energy without the jitters. This iced version is creamy, refreshing, and feels like a coffee shop drink without the £4 price tag.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 2 tbsp warm water
  • 200ml oat milk
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Method:

  1. Sift the matcha powder into a mug to remove lumps.
  2. Add the warm water and whisk vigorously with a fork or matcha whisk until smooth and frothy.
  3. Fill a glass with ice. Pour over the oat milk and maple syrup.
  4. Pour the matcha mixture over the top. Stir gently to combine.

Why it's gut-friendly: Matcha is rich in polyphenols and L-theanine, which promotes calm focus. Oat milk adds beta-glucan fibre. A gentle, sustained energy boost.
