Chamomile and lemon balm are both calming herbs. Steeped together and chilled, they make a refreshing, gently sedative iced tea. Perfect for warm afternoons when you need to take the edge off.
Ingredients (Serves 2):
- 1 chamomile tea bag
- 1 lemon balm tea bag (or a handful of fresh lemon balm leaves)
- 500ml boiling water
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- Ice cubes and lemon slices to serve
Method:
- Steep the tea bags in the boiling water for 10 minutes. Remove.
- Stir in honey if using. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
- Serve over ice with lemon slices.
Why it's gut-friendly: Chamomile is anti-inflammatory and calming. Lemon balm is traditionally used for digestive comfort and anxiety. A soothing, caffeine-free drink.
