Fresh Turmeric & Ginger Tea

This is my "my stomach feels a bit off" tea. It's not fancy. It's just fresh turmeric and ginger, steeped in hot water. But it works. The ginger settles things down. The turmeric is anti-inflammatory. It's bright, warming, and feels medicinal in the best way.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 3–4 slices of fresh turmeric (or ½ tsp ground)
- 3–4 slices of fresh ginger
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 250ml hot water
Method:
- Place the turmeric and ginger slices in a mug.
- Pour over the hot water and let steep for 5–10 minutes.
- Remove the slices (or leave them in if you like it stronger).
- Stir in the lemon juice and honey if using.
- Sip slowly.
Why it's gut-friendly: Turmeric and ginger are both powerfully anti-inflammatory and support digestion. Lemon adds vitamin C. It's a potent, soothing brew.
