Fresh Turmeric & Ginger Tea

This is my "my stomach feels a bit off" tea. It's not fancy. It's just fresh turmeric and ginger, steeped in hot water. But it works. The ginger settles things down. The turmeric is anti-inflammatory. It's bright, warming, and feels medicinal in the best way.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 3–4 slices of fresh turmeric (or ½ tsp ground)
  • 3–4 slices of fresh ginger
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 250ml hot water

Method:

  1. Place the turmeric and ginger slices in a mug.
  2. Pour over the hot water and let steep for 5–10 minutes.
  3. Remove the slices (or leave them in if you like it stronger).
  4. Stir in the lemon juice and honey if using.
  5. Sip slowly.

Why it's gut-friendly: Turmeric and ginger are both powerfully anti-inflammatory and support digestion. Lemon adds vitamin C. It's a potent, soothing brew.
