Fresh Mint & Ginger Digestive Tea

Fresh Mint & Ginger Digestive Tea

This is the tea I make after a big meal, or when my stomach feels sluggish. Fresh mint, fresh ginger, and hot water. That's it. It's bright, zingy, and settles everything down.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • A large handful of fresh mint leaves
  • 3–4 slices of fresh ginger
  • 250ml hot water
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Method:

  1. Put the mint and ginger in a mug. Pour over the hot water.
  2. Let it steep for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Strain out the mint and ginger (or leave them in if you like it strong).
  4. Stir in honey if using. Sip slowly.

Why it's gut-friendly: Mint relaxes the digestive tract and relieves cramping. Ginger stimulates digestion and reduces nausea. A classic digestive aid.
