Fresh Mint & Ginger Digestive Tea
Share
This is the tea I make after a big meal, or when my stomach feels sluggish. Fresh mint, fresh ginger, and hot water. That's it. It's bright, zingy, and settles everything down.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
- A large handful of fresh mint leaves
- 3–4 slices of fresh ginger
- 250ml hot water
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
Method:
- Put the mint and ginger in a mug. Pour over the hot water.
- Let it steep for 5–7 minutes.
- Strain out the mint and ginger (or leave them in if you like it strong).
- Stir in honey if using. Sip slowly.
Why it's gut-friendly: Mint relaxes the digestive tract and relieves cramping. Ginger stimulates digestion and reduces nausea. A classic digestive aid.
