Creamy Vanilla & Cinnamon Oat Milk
Share
This is what I make when I want something warm and milky but don't want caffeine. It's just oat milk, warmed gently with vanilla and cinnamon. It tastes like the milk at the bottom of a bowl of cereal, which is to say: deeply comforting.
Why it's gut-friendly: Oat milk is naturally free from lactose, making it gentle on sensitive stomachs. Oats contain beta-glucan, a soluble fibre that supports gut health. Cinnamon helps stabilise blood sugar.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 250ml oat milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
- Tiny pinch of salt
Method:
- Place all ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Heat gently over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally, until steaming.
- Pour into a mug and sip slowly.
