Cinnamon & Maple Baked Plums
Share
Plums are underrated as a dessert fruit. Baked until soft and collapsing, they release their deep, jammy juices. A little maple syrup and cinnamon is all they need. Serve with yoghurt or just as they are.
Ingredients (Serves 2):
- 4 ripe plums, halved and stoned
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Greek yoghurt to serve
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan).
- Place the plum halves cut-side up in a small baking dish.
- Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until soft and juicy.
- Serve warm with yoghurt.
Why it's gut-friendly: Plums are known for their gentle digestive benefits—sorbitol and fibre support regularity. Cinnamon helps stabilise blood sugar. A simple, gut-loving dessert.
