Baked Pears with Ginger & Oat Crumble
A lighter, simpler crumble. Halved pears baked with a ginger-spiked crumble topping. The pear stays soft and juicy underneath.
Ingredients (Serves 2):
- 2 ripe pears, halved and cored
- 30g rolled oats
- 20g ground almonds
- 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp ground ginger
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Place pears cut-side up in a dish.
- Mix the oats, almonds, oil, syrup, and ginger. Pile onto the pears.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and tender.
Why it's gut-friendly: Pears are rich in soluble fibre. Oats and almonds are prebiotic. Ginger is anti-inflammatory.
