Baked Pears with Ginger & Oat Crumble

A lighter, simpler crumble. Halved pears baked with a ginger-spiked crumble topping. The pear stays soft and juicy underneath.

Ingredients (Serves 2):

  • 2 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 30g rolled oats
  • 20g ground almonds
  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp ground ginger

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Place pears cut-side up in a dish.
  2. Mix the oats, almonds, oil, syrup, and ginger. Pile onto the pears.
  3. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and tender.

Why it's gut-friendly: Pears are rich in soluble fibre. Oats and almonds are prebiotic. Ginger is anti-inflammatory.
