Baked Figs with Honey & Thyme
Share
Figs baked until jammy, with a drizzle of honey and a scattering of fresh thyme. The thyme is an unexpected but brilliant partner—herbal, savoury, and it makes the figs sing.
Ingredients (Serves 2):
- 4 ripe figs, halved
- 1 tsp honey
- A few sprigs of fresh thyme
- Greek yoghurt to serve
Method:
- Arrange the figs cut-side up in a baking dish. Drizzle with honey and scatter with thyme leaves.
- Bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes until soft. Serve with a dollop of yoghurt.
Why it's gut-friendly: Figs are a prebiotic powerhouse. Thyme is antimicrobial. Yoghurt adds probiotics.
