Miso & Ginger Salmon Parcels

Miso & Ginger Salmon Parcels

This sounds fancy but takes five minutes to prep. A salmon fillet, a smear of miso, a slice of ginger, and a drizzle of sesame oil, wrapped in foil and baked. It steams gently, staying incredibly moist.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 1 salmon fillet
  • 1 tsp white miso paste
  • 2 slices of fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 spring onion, sliced (optional)

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan).
  2. Place the salmon on a square of foil. Smear the miso on top, lay the ginger slices over it, and drizzle with sesame oil.
  3. Wrap the foil loosely around the salmon, sealing the edges.
  4. Bake for 15–18 minutes. Scatter with spring onion if using.

Why it's gut-friendly: Salmon is rich in omega-3s. Miso is fermented, providing probiotics. Ginger is anti-inflammatory and aids digestion.
